Hi, thanks for taking the time to get to know a little about me.
My passion for filmmaking stems from a lifelong love of storytelling and a deep appreciation for cinema. Inspired by the art and realism of European cinema, I’ve always been captivated by its ability to bring raw, emotional characters and stories to life—an influence that continues to shape my vision. Over the years, I’ve honed my craft through a blend of formal education and hands-on experience. I hold a B.A. in Television, Media, & Film from California State University, Los Angeles.
In my career, I’ve worn many creative hats as a Director, Director of Photography, Photographer, and Assistant Editor, working on projects ranging from short films to reality TV. As an assistant editor, I've working on shows for networks such as MTV, Paramount+, Food Network, and Discovery Channel. Through these experiences, I’ve developed expertise in industry-standard tools like Adobe Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve, Avid Media Composer, and Colorfront Express Dailies.
Now, let’s talk about something truly important: cats. I love cats. If I’m not working on a project, there’s a good chance I’m playing with my cats (yes, you read right, plural). I especially love when they do air biscuits, or do parkour on the furniture, it’s very amusing.
As a Latino creative and filmmaker, I’m committed to telling future stories that celebrate the richness, diversity, and complexity of Latino experiences. When I’m not behind the camera, in the editing suite, or hunting down my next 35mm film camera on eBay, I’m developing a proof-of-concept short film that embodies my vision as a filmmaker and paves the way for future feature-length projects.
And just so we’re clear—I really love cats.
